October

Skippy lived a great loved life, but it was time for her to go, so Casey took her to work with him, and she went peacefully.
(Even 5 months later, CJ was just talking about Skippy today and when she's going to be resurrected :)

My cousin Melissa and her 2 cute girls, invited Brooklyn and I to a Tea Party with Ariel.
It was so cute.
They taught some etiquette and manners, served some tea party sandwiches and juice, read a story, sang a song, and got to have their picture taken with Ariel.
I think Brooklyn was the youngest one there, and not as into all the princess stuff as some of the other little girls, but at least she did know who Ariel was, so that was good :)

Setting up the tent for General Conference weekend :)
The kids did great.
CJ wanting a picture with his doggy in his dinosaur shirt

It was the 10th anniversary of my Grandpa Freeman's passing, so we went to the cemetery to reminisce. (We had cousins spending the night that came along too)
I thought Brook looked so cute with her hands on her hips, copying the way I was standing.
Listening and learning how to be respectful around the graves.
Finding family markers
Close to where my Grandpa's grave is, is Waylon Jennings' plot. So Casey pulled up one of his songs on his phone and we danced to it. Brooklyn cracks me up :)

Finally, the day that has happened to most of Payton's friends, came his turn. At 7 1/2 years old he lost his first tooth!!!
Woohoo!! Funny thing was, his big tooth had already come in behind the baby one, months prior, so he didn't have the normal gap. (And super stressful to me, it came out like 10 minutes before our family pictures. They were playing football, even though I kept telling them to stop, and he got hit, blood all over, etc)
He's since lost one other tooth, and the big one was also behind it prior to losing it.

Brooklyn plopped down and made this cute pose while we were waiting for CJ's school to start it's International Festival.
We had a hard time figuring out an international costume for CJ. We borrowed a sombrero from Grandma, and threw on his swim towel/poncho thing inside out, and called it good :)
His cousin Emma is in front of him, and one of his best school friends, Colette, is in front of Emma.

They sang some cute songs, and CJ did a great job.

Casey, the boys and I ended up taking a trip (to Disneyland!!) and left Brooklyn home with Grandma and Grandpa. She had a blast and hopefully wasn't too much of a burden :)
Plus she got to have a little photo shoot at on the tractor, with Papa's cowboy hat.

and ride in the Polaris, a grandkid favorite.

 Last but not least,
she totally reminds me of the Coppertone sunscreen girl in these pics :)
