Halloween

Cute owls for halloween
My cousin Melissa put on the cutest party for the little kids.

We played witch, witch, ghost.
decorated cookies, pinned the spider on the web, made monsters out of TP rolls, and bingo.
Plus had the spookiest lunch with ghost juice boxes,
pumpkin cheese and crackers,
and all kinds of other spooky things :)
Such a fun party!
Our pumpkins
and Jack o Lantern pizza thanks to Papa Murphy's.

CJ had a fun Halloween party at preschool:
And Payton had a fun parade and party at 1st grade

We started the trick or treating off early, at like 4pm, and went to G&G Beazers, and saw cousin Maylee who was also a purple fairy princess like Brooklyn.

Plus we saw Merida, Rapunzel, and a train engineer!
We went to the ward trunk or treat and had yummy food, played games and got lots of candy. The boys were so excited when Daddy showed up after work wearing this:
Brooklyn however was terrified. She also did not like Peter's costume. Who's that strange man???

A fun surprise after the kids were asleep, Heath and Soraia stopped by to show us their costumes!

October Break

We  had such a fun October Break. It was probably the best stay-cation the kids could've asked for. Em's fam was staying with us while their tile got redone in their home, and the kids were in cousin heaven.

We went to the zoo with Bekah and kids.
Cj and Rett made a boat (woah now Cj on the evil faces)
We went to a fun kid's activity where they got to make their own pizza and salad,
make a chef hat, play with playdough, etc. They loved it.
I attempted to make cinnamon rolls for the first time ever. Half with cream cheese icing, and half with regular. Yum!
Emily made these adorable Halloween potions with her in-laws. So awesome!!
Poor Tyson got hit by a car :( Lucky for us, we knew of a good vet.
Emily and I took the kids across the street to the park, and I saw the car going by fast, heard a thump, and then a dog crying. Casey was coming out with the dogs, and the others followed him into the garage to get a ball, but Tyson kept going to the street. The car didn't even slow down at all, and just kept on driving!! So sad... He broke his shoulder and didn't need any surgery. It just heeled on it's own.
We got 'booed' for the first time this Halloween, but didn't find it on our porch till the next day, and there were no goodies left. Only the plate and part of a ghost. It's the thought that counts, right??

we love bowling!!

One night we had a "Pirate" dinner, and by that I meant, a 'no shirt, no forks, no manners' kind of dinner with spaghetti and salad :)
We painted toast with colored milk.
We had a fun (hot!) day at the Pumpkin Patch and did the maze,

pony rides,

train ride,
wagon ride,
petting zoo,

and picked pumpkins.

So fun!!
Plus we saw this cute car parked in front of us that had eyelashes, ha ha.
I also attempted to make the boys these tiny bow and arrows. The bows were tongue depressors, (wet so I could shape them into a curve) and when they dried I attached floss. The arrows were qtips. They didn't last too long, but the arrows actually went a lot farther than I thought they would. Perfect for our 4 superheroes fighting bad guys.
We had such a blast with them here. Next October Break, we're coming to stay at your house!!
