May: Sedona, Mother's Day, Preschool

So my BFF Jess convinced me to take a girl's trip, and I can't believe we actually made it happen.
We went Thurs-Sat to Sedona and had a great time.

We posed as cowgirls, ha ha,

went hiking,

ate out,

got pedicures,

strolled around Tlaquepaque,

went to a movie, did meditation yoga (a little on the loopy side for me, ha ha), swam, napped, tried to sleep in (darn kids have ruined me and I woke up at 6 each day! :(
And had a wonderful time visiting and relaxing. Man, why have I never done this till now???
Thanks Jess!! Love you!!

Mother's Day:
I was so sad that both my boys' schools were having Mother's Day programs on the same day and at practically the same time. I went early to Payton's and was bummed that they put off starting their program to wait for all the mom's to get there. So it meant that even though I was on time, I still had to leave to rush to CJ's one. Luckily, Payton's Grandma Lindy was able to come and eat lunch with Payt and watch the program. She said it was darling, and he brought home lovely cards, poems, etc for me. But I did cry. I hated missing it :(

CJ had his singing program and it was adorable.

He brought me these cute flowers
and sang cute songs :)

On Sunday CJ was sick (doesn't he look lively in this pic??)
and Brooklyn was slightly under the weather and needed a nap, so last minute we decided that Casey would stay home with those 2, and Payt and I would go to church.

Last Day of Preschool:

How fun that on CJ's last day they got to have a water day with all kinds of activities like bubbles, chalk, cup races, baby pools, squirt guns, and this big blow up slide. So fun!

Brook got to come and wanted to swing in this the whole 2 hours.

This day was actually pretty crazy. We had water day, swim lessons, Pete's temple sealing, pictures that night, graduation, and the reception. I was exhausted by the end of that day...

He looked cute in his cap

When his teacher, Mrs. Billings called his name, she said, "CJ's our only student who's reading, and is still not supposed to go to kindergarten for another year."

Way to go Buddy on working so hard to learn how to read and being an excellent student. Love you CJ!!!
