October Break

We  had such a fun October Break. It was probably the best stay-cation the kids could've asked for. Em's fam was staying with us while their tile got redone in their home, and the kids were in cousin heaven.

We went to the zoo with Bekah and kids.
Cj and Rett made a boat (woah now Cj on the evil faces)
We went to a fun kid's activity where they got to make their own pizza and salad,
make a chef hat, play with playdough, etc. They loved it.
I attempted to make cinnamon rolls for the first time ever. Half with cream cheese icing, and half with regular. Yum!
Emily made these adorable Halloween potions with her in-laws. So awesome!!
Poor Tyson got hit by a car :( Lucky for us, we knew of a good vet.
Emily and I took the kids across the street to the park, and I saw the car going by fast, heard a thump, and then a dog crying. Casey was coming out with the dogs, and the others followed him into the garage to get a ball, but Tyson kept going to the street. The car didn't even slow down at all, and just kept on driving!! So sad... He broke his shoulder and didn't need any surgery. It just heeled on it's own.
We got 'booed' for the first time this Halloween, but didn't find it on our porch till the next day, and there were no goodies left. Only the plate and part of a ghost. It's the thought that counts, right??

we love bowling!!

One night we had a "Pirate" dinner, and by that I meant, a 'no shirt, no forks, no manners' kind of dinner with spaghetti and salad :)
We painted toast with colored milk.
We had a fun (hot!) day at the Pumpkin Patch and did the maze,

pony rides,

train ride,
wagon ride,
petting zoo,

and picked pumpkins.

So fun!!
Plus we saw this cute car parked in front of us that had eyelashes, ha ha.
I also attempted to make the boys these tiny bow and arrows. The bows were tongue depressors, (wet so I could shape them into a curve) and when they dried I attached floss. The arrows were qtips. They didn't last too long, but the arrows actually went a lot farther than I thought they would. Perfect for our 4 superheroes fighting bad guys.
We had such a blast with them here. Next October Break, we're coming to stay at your house!!

October

I love it when Payton reads books to his siblings :)
We had fun heart-attacking a friend's door who is struggling with cancer.
Where'd Brooklyn go???

Yep, that's right. Swimming in October. Well, not for me, but the crazy kids did!

CJ often gives our pets a little too much love. Multiple times a day he'd drag a stool over so he could look at/bug the guinea pig. One day I heard a big crash and found the stool knocked over, the guinea pig's house on the ground (which made a HUGE mess), a scared guinea pig, and a crying CJ.

2 new puppies we got, ha ha
I had to document my poor toe. I dropped an empty trash can on it, which shouldn't have hurt at all, but it must've hit in exactly the wrong place because it felt broken. It was so painful for weeks, and is still a nasty black, on almost the whole thing. I'm just waiting for it to fall off...
I love it when my dad shows up with a buddy in a tractor to work on my house :)

Brooklyn used to stick out her pouty lip anytime you told her not to do something. She stood in this particular pouty position for several minutes while all the kids were bustling around her playing. Sillly girl.
I love this smiley picture that Brooklyn accidentally took all by herself when she was playing with Casey's phone. You can barely see her fangs coming in. Her first teeth.
Here's the guinea pig that CJ knocked over in that above picture. He died a few weeks later.
Brooklyn's definitely chatty. She talks all the time. And not just sentences, full on paragraphs.
I was reading her a book, and she just kept talking. It was so cute. Plus, I love her quiet lion growl at the end. Not too loud Brooklyn or you'll scare yourself ;)
So you're not supposed to really watch this video, but more listen to it. She was cracking up that the vacuum scares Penny, ha ha.

Well...

It seems my other blog is too full of pictures, so it won't let me upload anymore. I can either pay a monthly fee to have more storage (nah!) or post on here. So I've done the latter :)
